hello again!

Finally I'm back to blogging! I didn't really decide to 'take a break' or anything like that, it's just seemed that lately the urge to constantly take photos of my outfits and products hasn't been there. It's been a refreshing change to just sit back and read other peoples blog posts without thinking 'when did I last post!?''. I am back though (for now) so normal posting will hopefully resume.

I wish I had lots of exciting news to tell you all but in all honest I don't. I saw Olly Murs and The Wanted last weekend which was literally the most amazing two nights of my life ever. I'm not one for all the obsession over celebrities but I TOUCHED SIVA from The Wanted, goes without saying that it made my night, or possibly month if I'm gonna admit to how sad I am. Both nights were amazing though, if anyone else saw them in their home town then do let me know what you thought. Going to go and prepare a post for tomorrow just to be super organised rather than carry on boring you all with irrelevant rambling.

New Lipstick Love: MAC Creme Cup

Quickly just want to ask you all, what do you prefer with makeup posts between either plain white backgrounds or the usual floral background on the photos? I can't decide! Anyway, thought i'd share my latest find with you as I know pretty much everyone likes to experiment with lipsticks and find new colours to buy. I got this one for Christmas and at first I was a bit 'hmm' do I really like this on me? I think initially changing to a different lipstick after using the same kind of shade regularly can sometimes make you doubt if you like it, but no I definitley do! It's quite a natural pink, although it stays away from that 'nude' pink shade that Myth has (probably my all time favourite) so it's a good change. Perfect for daytime wear and night especially if you're maybe wearing heavy eye makeup, although I'm not going to go into 'how to wear it' as let's face it, i'm no makeup artist. It's creemsheen finish too so it's quite glossy but you do still get good colour with it so it's an all round winner. Definitley a one to go and try the next time you're near a MAC counter.

leopard print

Shirt H&M, Cardigan Primark, Leggings & Bag & Ring Topshop, Watch River Island

Almost everyone who knows me will say that i'm definitley not a casual person, probably more of the total opposite and go over dressed to every occasion but I find that it suits me much better. I do own 'comfy' clothes for around the house but that's about as far as they go, although i've got to say 99% of the time i'm in my pj's at home! For me this outfit is my kind of comfy slouchy outfit just because it involves leggings. I hate hate hate plain black leggings on myself, leopard print is fine, leather effect panels are fine, coloured is fine, just never ever plain black so these are a nice alternative. I can't remember if i've breiefly showed this bag before or not, it's quickly became one of my favourite bags because of the simple monochrome type design. I suppose a cream bag is never a good idea for dirt but never mind!

Mixture of a week this past one, partly good and partly bad. I got some amazing results though which I was so so proud of, A and A* for Maths and English Language proving that hard work certainly pays off! Plus I have a french exam tomorrow which should be a disaster with my memory of the language, oh dear.

Review: MAC Pink Swoon

I was given this as a present off my best friend for Christmas after having it used on me in my MAC makeover and in my opinion, it is a pretty much perfect colour for me. I'm not someone who goes for a natural blush if I'm honest, I think the majority of blushes I own are bright dolly kind of pinks with the occasional peachy shade somewhere. This is the first MAC blush i've ever owned and so far i'm quite impressed. £17.50 for a blusher is quite expensive I think, I know it's 'high end' makeup and everything but I dunno, just seems a bit much to me. Even so, I probably will buy a few more shades in the future.

I'm wearing it quite lightly in the photo with a bit of Sleek Contour underneath to bronze my cheeks slightly but you can still get the idea. It's really buildable and can be quite sheer or very obvious depending on how subtle or obvious you want it to be. It's a matt shade as personally I hate shimmers on myself, also it makes it more wearable for daytime and night if its matt. As always, just go to the counter and try it for yourself as it is quite a lot of money to spend on makeup to then not like it all on yourself.

Burgandy Basics

Dress Topshop, Coat & Belt Primark, Watch River Island

I wore this outfit a few days ago, aswell as Christmas day and considering I hate simple plain clothes I surprisingly really like this dress on. I know they're pretty popular in loads of different colours and I can now actually see why. There's loads floating around quite cheap on Ebay as far as I know but I always find that you never quite get the same fit sometimes (on me personally anyway), whereas the fit of this one is perfect. Initially I did wear it with a black belt with gold detail but surprise surprise, it seems to have got lost somewhere.

In other news I'm currently trying a little bit of a healthy eating and fitness regime. It's not really a diet (although I do need to lose a little bit of Christmas weight), just an attempt to try and get fit kind of thing. So far it's been a bit of a disaster, saying no to cheesecake just wasn't an option last night. Although one sweet treat in two days is very good going for me! If I manage to stick to it for more than a week it'll be an actual miracle, feel free to share any staying healthy tips with me!

Still getting to grips with the new camera and how to actually work it, bear with me guys!
