everyday makeup

Obviously I don't wear all of this everyday, I just alternate some days between these products. Admittedly I do wear quite a lot of makeup especially for my age but it's fair to say i'd be a totally different person without it! I'm without doubt a drugstore makeup girl if i'm honest, nothing to be ashamed of! I do have a few MAC products and brushes as most of them were presents, however most of the stuff is pretty cheap and cheerful. Excuse the chewed brushes too, my puppy got her teeth around them.

Face base: Concealer Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection, MAC Studio Fix Fluid, Revlon Colourstay, MAC brush 190 &  239.

Okay so firstly my foundation and concealer. Most days I use MAC studio fix fluid in NW20 which is a really good foundation if you want a medium-full coverage with a matt finish, applied with a MAC 190 foundation brush. Days where i'm not going anywhere but still feel like a little bit of makeup in the house or to take the doggy for a walk i'll wear Revlon Colourstay (pretty much exact dupe for Studio fix fluid). I recently bought the lasting perfection concealer after all the hype and it's definitley worth it. The 239 is an eyeshadow brush but it works well for putting concealer on sometimes if I don't wanna use my fingers! I always think that if i'm concealing spots it's a bit un hygenic to use the applicator as you're then spreading the bacteria onto the rest of your face. Maybe that's just me though.
Face: Rimmel Stay Matte powder, Natural Collection blush in Sweet Cheeks, Royal Bronzer, MAC 150, MAC 168, MAC 134, Blush  brush.

I've used the Rimmel powder for years, literally. As stupid as this sounds I don't actually like it that much but i've just never got round to finding a new one. The thought of trying to find the colour is just too much hassle (i'm so lazy I know) so i've always re-bought this one time and time again. Claims to 'stay matte' all day and even though my skin isn't that oily it doesn't stay true to it's promise. Usually I use the Collection 2000 bronzer but every one I buy it ends up smashing so I bought this cheap one (£1.99 I think) from a little makeup stall. I use it to contour my face slightly and brush it onto my neck to blend it into my face colour more. Nothing worse than having a white neck compared to your face! I actually couldn't fault this blush at all. Again i've used this for quite a while now and i've lost count of how many times i've repurchased this. For £1.99 you really can't go wrong, it's super pigmented without any shimmer or sparkles so it's perfect for me.

Eyes: MAC 266, Normal angled brush, Collection 2000 Big Fake Lash, Loreal Volouminous, Collection 2000 Volume Sensation, Natural Collection eyeshadow and Eyeliner, Eyelure lash glue.

I don't use all these mascaras everyday but usually I wear two of them together. I've actually just realised that they're all specifically for volume so I should probably mix one of them with a lengthening one but never mind. All three of these are great though so i'd recommend them. I think everyone is either a face or eye person in terms of what they need more. As much as I wouldn't choose to I could live without face makeup but mascara is a must! I use either one of those angled brushes to fill in my eyebrows using the (smashed) Natural Collection eyeshadow. I then put eyeliner on my waterline and sometimes tightline. The lash glue is obviously for the days where I wear false lashes only. Stating the obvious there Ashleigh!

Finally onto my lips. I get really dry and chapped lips so sometimes i'll use Vaseline before lipstick to try and make them appear more smooth. Three lipsticks I tend to use most are MAC Lustering, MAC Shy Girl and Natural Collection Apple Blossom. I've recently found that apple blossom and lustering worn together make a really nice colour, softens the brightness of lustering.

Let me know if you would like to see more makeup type posts instead of mainly clothes/fashion ones.
