You may or may not know that i've been looking for the perfect curler for a while now. The whole reason I bought extensions was to wear them curly as my hair is too short when it's curled. Originally I bought the Tresseme conical wand, very similar to the Babyliss version but this one was £5 cheaper on the day so I went for that one. It was really good for tight ringlet curls and anyone who wants that look then i'd definitley advise buying it, but for me I wan't bigger bouncy curls. I ended up returning it to the shop after i'd slyly used it once, exchaanging it for the Babyliss glamour waves.
I absoloutley love it, it gives those big voluminious curls that eventually drop into a lovely natural look. In all fairness I don't think my photos are doing it justice, especially since this is the first time i've used it and i'm no hairdresser, seriously hair is not my thing at all. I can go as far as straightners and a french plait but after that i'm a little lost. It's simple to use though, has the standard clamp thing (so technical) and then obviously just roll your up onto it, leave it for a few seconds and you have a big curl. Most of the hair I was curling was extensions and I dunno if they hold curls better or worse than natural hair, mine did drop pretty quickly although thats probably due to the fact I didn't use extreme amounts of hairspray. Personally I like them when they've dropped, much more natural & casusal sort of look.
The actual design of the curler is probably the only negative I can think of as it's reasonably priced at £20, makes good curls and has temperature control. It's made so that the on/off button and temperature controll is on the handle in exactly the same place as where your fingers are when they're holding the clamp down. It makes it really easy to turn it off without realising, it only happened to me once today but it's worth keep checking to see if the red light is still on. Overall though, i'm really pleased with it and does exactly what it claims to do!
P.S: Sorry for the terrible quality photos, I had to take one of them on my webcam. The camera that I bought about a month ago has already decided to break, for someone reason it won't focus very well meaning I have blurred photos. DSLR for xmas though so i'm just going to put up with it for the next few months. |

I like :) your curls look amazing!
Your hair looks gorgeous! I bought the babyliss curling wand the day you returned our treseme one, and i got really nervous about using it, but I achieve quite a similar effect to the one you're sporting here:) I prefer the natural looking curls over ringlets as well, and its so much easier to use one of these than straighteners!
