Review: Topshop Duo Concealer

Topshop Duo Concealer £8.50

I first came across this concealer when my friend bought it as a a hopeful dupe for the MAC studio fix version. It's probably one of the only cream concealers i've seen thats a drugstore type price so I thought i'd give it a go. I've used it for about 2 weeks (apologies for the grubby used photos) and I do really like the product. It totally depends what you look for in a concealer and if it's high coverage you're wanting then i'd probably say this isn't for you. Compared to the infamous Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection concealer the coverage isn't as high but I like the consistency of this and mainly the fact that it's much lighter on your skin. Its finishes to complete matt and feels so so creamy, perfect for delicate under eye skin which shouldn't be pulled on too much. I suppose it is quite dry once it's set so I don't know how it would be on someone with dry skin, for me it works well because mine is fairly oily.

I love the fact that it's a duo with two shades, meaning you can mix them to get your pefect shade if needed. Personally I usually use the left one (which seems to be the least warm out the two?) under my eyes,  on my lid as a base for eyeshadow and to cover any spots/blemishes. I don't have extreme under eye dark circles, I just still like to use it just to lighten that area them up and to add extra coverage as for some reason, my foundation never seems to cover that well there. Overall, I would reccommend the product as an alternative to something like the Collection 2000 one if you want a lighter/creamier coverage, plus with that cute packaging why not!
Apologies for the dark photos, stupid lack of lighting in these winter months!

I've heard great things about Topshop make-up products which I'm suprised by. I really want to try their nail varnishes.

It's not bad for £8.50 but I hate drying concealer, especially around the eyes but since getting the Touche Eclat pen it has really helped my dark circles, I wish I wasn't so pale!

I've seen quite a few of cream concealers around, and as a devoted lover of Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection, i never bother to try any others! Definitely need to take the plunge and get a few to try out. Haven't seen topshops concealer yet, so i will have to keep a look out for it!

i love the dryness of this because it dries out my spots haha, a great dupe for the studio fix concealer is the barbara daly concealer at tesco. It has great coverage, similar formula and its only £4 :)
